I spent the day yesterday with our daughter +Katya Barrows, her soon to be fiance Charles, our son Kyle and his soon to be fiance Baylee and my lovely wife +Kittery Barrows. This is National Monument outside of Grand Junction, CO (http://www.nps.gov/colm/index.htm). We had a blast driving and oohing and ahhing at everything. Now, for you parents out there you are well aware there is a group of genes most of us have called the "parent gene group". These are the genes that make you rush to a fallen youngster, put them in time out for infractions, make sure they wash their hands for dinner, etc. There is a special gene that seems to twist your insides up in knots when you watch your child climb a tree - way too high, ride their bike for the first time around that corner and out of sight - you know which one I'm talking about. Well - that one turned on hard for me as I watched 2 of my kids and 2 future kids of mine cavort like mountain goats along the top of 300 and 400 foot cliffs! And to top it off, if they were not there I would have been bouncing along the cliff edges myself. Why did that gene decide to turn on so hard yesterday?! I mean these are all perfectly good BASE jumping cliffs!!I hope you enjoy the pictures. :)
