I am a US Marine.  I graduated boot camp in 1984.  I served for nearly 13 years after graduation in the military branch known as the US Marine Corps.  I took an OATH to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.  Since joining the ranks of the US Militia (civilians) I still feel the need to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.What the political parties are doing, have been doing for decades, is in DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE LAWS LAID DOWN BY OUR CONSTITUTION.  Period.Constitution, Preamble:  We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.1st Amendment states:  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.2nd Amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution, known as the Supremacy Clause, establishes the U.S. Constitution, federal statutes, and U.S. Treaties as "the supreme law of the land." The text provides that these are the highest form of law in the U.S. legal system, and mandates that all state judges must follow federal law when a conflict arises between federal law and either the state constitution or state law of any state.The "supremacy clause" is the most important guarantor of national union.
