"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them."--Thomas Jefferson, Declaration of the Causes and Necessities of Taking up Arms, 1775

I posted something yesterday about Obama swinging a cat and the only response I got (on FB) was from a Dem friend who said the there were a few right wing nut jobs blaming the OK tornado on weather control (I think that is what he said).  And today I see that there is a push from the left in Congress to blame it on the Republicans.  So, what does this tell us?"Despite no evidence that devastating tornadoes have increased in frequency or intensity due to fossil fuel use, another warm-monger blames the Moore, Okla., disaster on GOP 'polluters and deniers.' Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., ... took to the Senate floor Monday to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic (man-caused) global warming (known by its acronym, AGW)..."http://patriotpost.us/editions/18305

Democrats wasted no time this week in shamelessly blaming Oklahoma's tornado on global warming and Republicans' "denial." Also, of course, more on the IRS scandal and Benghazi, as well as the NRA and racism. Plus, see what Michelle had to say about Barack's failures.

Yes, this is a right wing source.  Feel free to poo-poo all you want.  If you are a strong leftist you will, simply because it was written by multiple people on the right.  So move on, this is not the story you were looking for..."It turns out that Sarah Hall Ingram, who served as head of the IRS office handling tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012 -- when the targeting was going on -- is now head of the IRS division in charge of the IRS office policing Obamacare. ... The IRS is assigned a lot of work by the Obamacare law. It will impose penalties on Americans who can afford health insurance but choose not to buy it. It will impose penalties on companies with more than 50 employees who work 30 hours a week and don't provide government-mandated policies. It will give tax credits to non-affluent purchasers of health insurance on state exchanges. The IRS says it can also give tax credits to such people in states that have federally run exchanges, though many argue the law does not authorize that. In other words, the IRS is going to possess and process a large amount of information not only on your income but on your health insurance and perhaps your health. The IRS was given these tasks by the drafters of Obamacare because no other government agency had the capability to gain access to people's personal financial information. They may have thought that taxpayers would trust an agency that they had gotten used to dealing with. That level of trust may not be as high as it was 10 days ago. Chilling effect, indeed." --columnist Michael Baronehttp://patriotpost.us/editions/18257

The woman over the IRS office targeting conservatives is now over the the IRS office handling ObamaCare. What could go wrong? Of course, Obama has distanced himself from the whole thing, but it's long been obvious how he wants to handle political opponents. Also today, true grit and real responsibility are missing in our culture.

In related news, another IRS scandal is brewing. A HIPAA-covered data management company is suing the IRS after agents seized the personal and confidential medical records of more than 10 million patients in 2011. The IRS had a search warrant to obtain financial information of a former employee of the data management company, but according to the legal complaint, "It did not authorize any seizure of any healthcare or medical record of any persons, least of all third parties completely unrelated to the matter. This is an action involving the corruption and abuse of power... No search warrant authorized the seizure of these records; no subpoena authorized the seizure of these records; none of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search." http://patriotpost.us/editions/18234

The IRS targeting groups with "Patriot" or "Tea Party" in their name was the big news of the week, but we've endured four-and-a-half years of this kind of scandal and crisis exploitation by Barack Obama. Also this week, HHS asks for donations, Detroit may go bankrupt, Benghazi emails were released, and Kermit Gosnell was sentenced.

"Of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people, commencing demagogues and ending tyrants." --Alexander Hamilton (1787)Quite an interesting read.  Yes, it is slanted from the right and would probably equally apply when a right wing president sits in the office.  I don't care if you are right/left or other - this bat crazy crap has got to stop.http://patriotpost.us/alexander/18211

"President Obama famously joked in a college commencement address in 2009 that he could use the IRS to target political enemies but of course he never would. It appears that people at the Internal Revenue Service didn't think he was joking. That's become clear since IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner admitted on Friday that the agency targeted conservatives for special tax-exempt scrutiny during the 2012 election season. ... We've also learned that IRS officials knew about this earlier than they have let on. News reports suggest that Ms. Lerner knew about the targeting of conservatives in June 2011, and perhaps as early as 2010. That's a long time before IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman flatly denied any political targeting when he testified at a House Ways and Means subcommittee hearing in March 2012. ... Some Democrats took to the airwaves on the weekend to suggest that while the IRS shouldn't have been targeting conservatives, no one was harmed. ... The harm is in fact real, if hard to measure precisely, because any missive from the IRS is enough to chill political spending and speech. ... Oppose the Obama Administration or liberal priorities, and you too can become an IRS target. We're glad to see Congress mobilizing in response, including hearing plans by Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus and the House Ways and Means Committee that asked the IRS about this in 2012 and received denials. The subpoenas need to fly as thick as those IRS questionnaires." --The Wall Street Journalhttp://patriotpost.us/editions/18195

Barack Obama once joked that he would use the IRS to target political enemies. It turns out he wasn't joking. We also hit Benghazi, Gosnell, the "Affordable" Care Act, the unbalanced budget and get a glimpse of why we shouldn't trust a politician who feels "constrained" by the Constitution.

"Amid all the media saturation regarding the 2012 assault in Benghazi, on the anniversary of the 9/11 attack on our own soil in 2001, there are some important developments you need to know.""Those developments fall into two categories:""First: Who within the Obama administration knew what, and when, and who told our Special Forces operators to stand down and not respond? The answer to this question is crucial, because it allows us to determine what motivated that stand-down order. In addition, the answer might shed some light on where the president was after 5 p.m. on September 11, when Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Martin Dempsey informed him that our embassy was under attack and that our people were fighting for their lives. That we still don't have any idea what the commander in chief was doing during this crisis tells us all we need to know about our shamefully incurious mainstream media.""Second: Who within the administration changed the narrative talking points about the Benghazi attack, why, and under whose direction? The CIA immediately (and correctly) asserted that it was a terrorist attack, so why did the Obama administration tell the American people that it was a protest in response to an utterly obscure YouTube video that was deemed offensive to Muslims? The answer to this question is crucial for determining who in the administration advanced the fraudulent narrative in order to provide Obama political cover ahead of the upcoming presidential election."http://patriotpost.us/editions/18116

Mark Alexander provides concise analysis on what you need to know about Benghazi. Don't miss the rest of the Digest -- the online sales tax, the Heritage immigration study, Obama's jobs tour, trouble at a SEAL funeral and the reduction of "gun crime" -- after this special report.

"Illustrious examples are displayed to our view, that we may imitate as well as admire. Before we can be distinguished by the same honors, we must be distinguished by the same virtues. What are those virtues? They are chiefly the same virtues, which we have already seen to be descriptive of the American character -- the love of liberty, and the love of law. "September 11, 2012, was a profound moral failure. ... If the most current reports can be believed, after depriving our men and women on the ground of the security they begged for, our leaders didn't just stand by and watch as a tiny band of courageous but out-gunned Americans gave their last full measure of devotion to try to save an ambassador, save their fellow diplomats, and save themselves against an overwhelming terrorist force; those same leaders told potential rescuers to 'stand down.' Summary: Under the pretense of "religious tolerance," Barack Obama and his Leftist regime have endeavored to remove any expression or manifestation of faith, particularly Christianity, from government forums -- first and foremost, the U.S. military. This week, his civilian "leaders" at DoD ramped up that eradication, promising to bring criminal charges against any military personnel who express or share their faith. http://patriotpost.us/alexander/17989

"I now make it my earnest prayer, that God would have you, and the State over which you preside, in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government, to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another, for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field, and finally, that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all, to do Justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were the Characteristicks of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy Nation."--George Washington, circular letter of farewell to the Army, 1783
